Statue depicting a young boy picking a thorn from his foot. The original statue is called ‘Spinario’ and dates from the first century B.C. This copy is from circa 1900, it is signed ‘B. Boschetti Roma’. Bosschetti is a bronze caster from Italy who was active in the 19th century. Beautiful patinated bronze and it has fine details, as you can see on the hair and the feet. The bronze has its original Red Levanto marble.
