Beautiful upright secrétaire from the French Empire period. The desk is made of oak with burr walnut veneer, decorated with bronze ormolu elements. On top of a gray marble top. The interior of this desk is surprising and striking. On the inside is a mirror wall, supported by four carved gilded columns. There are also some secret compartments in the desk, which can only be opened with a certain mechanism.
The worktop is covered with red leather. At the top, under the marble, is an extendable shelf, which is also covered with red leather. The desk has one key, which fits on both the lid and the doors.

Replacements made: The top drawer is replaced by a leather covered shelf. Both leathers are replaced, including the chains. The central oak back panels are replaced. The brass plates are either replaced. all repairs are done in a professional manner.
